It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Mike Trach on September 18, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer. Mike was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and a proud employee of Imperial Oil for more than 40 years. Mike is lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Eva; his two children, Elden (Dianne) and Eldean (Hubertus) Hatlapa; two grandchildren, Melanie and Nolan Trach; brother, Stanley (Marge) Trach; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family; and his many friends. Mike was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Mary Trach; and brother, Edward. The family would like to sincerely thank the remarkable doctors and nurses who took such great care of Mike, in particular Dr. Christiaan Grundling, the Bremner Home Care Team led by Donna McDonald, and the staff at the Red Deer Hospice. Funeral Service Monday, September 25 at 11:00 a.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton, with interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
