It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Peter Roman Gurba of Waskatenau (Darling) on September 25, 2016, at the age of 79 years. Peter is survived by his loving wife, Frances; three sons, Patrick (Charlena) of Edmonton, AB, David of Trenton, ON and Richard (Cheryl) of Morinville, AB; three grandchildren, Jayden, Jordan and Jonathan; sisters, Nettie (Joe) Wosnack of Redwater, AB and Olivia Toronchuk of St. Albert, AB; brothers, William (Lillian) of Waskatenau, AB and Maurice (Pat) of Athabasca, AB; sister-in-law, Henrietta of Edmonton, AB; and many special nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Lucas and Pearl; sisters, Pauline Gordash and Lily Horyn; brothers, Joe, Walter and Paul; and special brother, John. Thank you to the Coronary Care Unit at the Royal Alexandra Hospital for their care. Divine Liturgy Friday, September 30 at 10:00 a.m. at Descent of the Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Church, Waskatenau. Reverend Slavko Dumec officiating. Cremation has taken place.
