Sally Iftody

With gratitude for a beautiful life and yet, with profound sadness, we say good-bye to Sally Iftody who slipped away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017. Left to treasure riches of her life and to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Elaine (Wayne Turner) and Gail (Brian Christianson); grandchildren, Kirk, Chad, Karina (Darren Vonic) and Dane; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Camden, Jaxon and Charlotte. Predeceased by her husband, George; parents, Katie and Tom Russ; sisters, Helen Russ, Anne Mascaluk and Mary Semeniuk; and grandson, Jordan Christianson. Sally was a daughter of the Prairies. She was very proud of her Romanian heritage and the qualities that it represented, strength, courage and a taste of adventure. Sally was a natural leader, and an intelligent, caring individual who possessed practical wisdom. She was a mentor to many, an inspiration to others and a devoted family woman. Prayer Service Tuesday, June 6 at 7:00 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton. Funeral Service Wednesday June 7 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Romanian Orthodox Church, Township Road 562 and Range Road 143, Boian, AB.
