Tony Caruk
On August 25, 2015, Mr. Tony Caruk of Edmonton passed away at the age of 90 years with his family by his side. Tony is survived by his three sons, Joe (Brenda), Brian and Chris (Glenna), all of Edmonton; three grandchildren, Serena, Rachel and Aidan; one brother, Roman of Hamilton, ON and two sisters, Ollie Koshka of Sherwood Park, AB and Jean Koshka of Edmonton, AB. Predeceased by the love of his life his wife Joanne, and two sisters, Adeline Krysko and Sonia Hrabec. Starting with a one room school house on the prairies Tony dedicated his professional life to the education of young minds, ending his teaching career as a high school principal. The rest of his life was dedicated to his love for his family and involvement with his church. Divine Liturgy Monday, August 31 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 7007 – 109 Street with Basilian Fathers officiating. Interment in Rosehill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, NWT & Nunavut, 10985 - 124 Street NW, Edmonton, AB T5M 0H9 or the Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB T6G 1Z2.Obituary
