On December 15, 2016, Verna Orobko of Edmonton passed away at the age of 96 years. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, John Orobko. Verna is survived by four sons, Gerald (Sherry), Daniel (Donna), James (Beverly) and Wayne (Nancy); grandchildren, Jerry Jr.(Kim), Jennifer, Sandra (Chris), Joanne, Matthew, David (Chera), Steven and Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Julie, Josh, Camryn and Edith; great-great-grandchild, Tylan; sisters, Sister Mary Benilda, Vicky Prestayko, Kay Baron and Ivy Malanchuk; sisters-in-law, Vicky Federowich and Mary Federowich. Predeceased by parents, Nick and Mary (Filipchuk) Federowich; brothers, David Federowich and Jerry Federowich; sisters, Shirley Rosochowaty and Lillian Farr; brothers-in-law, James Farr, William Malanchuk, John Prestayko, Ed Rosochowaty and Fred Baron; grandsons, Michael Orobko and Martin Orobko (Donna); nephew Cagney Farr; and great-nephew, Adam Prestayko. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, December 20 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 12810 – 111 Avenue. Reverend Andrew Bogdanowicz officiating with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery.
