Alexander Bozek

Alexander Bozek of Innisfail, AB passed away at his home in Innisfail on October 14, 2017 at the age of 84 years. Alexander was born in Innisfail AB, on August 30, 1933 and was raised in Coleman, AB in his childhood years. He move to Calgary where he apprenticed as an Electrician and eventually attaining a Masters designation in his trade. He worked for Civil Defense Department and for Alberta Government Telephones (AGT) as a Maintenance Electrician and a Project Manager over his long career. He founded the company Crown Furnace and Electric which provided electrical services to many residential and commercial clients. Alex was always active as volunteer in the community. He was President of the Glamorgan Community Association in Calgary for several years organizing events for the community. He was active as a Coach for Minor Hockey, Baseball and was proficient in Curling where he participated in many bonspiels over the years. He loved music and dancing and spent many happy times helping to organize social events in and around the Innisfail area. Alex is lovingly remembered by his wife Mary, his longtime close friend Lola Hunford, his children Allan(Nancy), Caroline and Joanne(David), and his Grandchildren Candace, Danielle, Adrienne and Yvonne Bozek of Calgary AB. A memorial service will be held at the Innisfail Legion on Friday, October 27 at 2:00pm. All are welcome to attend. Memorial donations may be made in his name to Doctors without Borders.
