It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Allan Lloyd Thorlakson of Innisfail,Ab. Allan was born on the family farm on January 24, 1928 and passed away at his Innisfail home on June 5,2015, with his loving wife by his side.Allan was the youngest son of Dora and Bjorn Thorlakson.He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Bertha, his sister Iris Eliuk , sister-in-law Julia Liove Tenorio, and brother-in-law Donald Bain and many nieces and nephews Allan was predeceased by his parents Dora and Bjorn Thorlakson, three brothers,Gudbjorn, Mundi and Steini, and by five sisters,Thora Shanks, Joan Vandaele, Dorothy Zimmerman, Alice Heinsen and Marian Bain, also by sister and brothers- in- law. Allan took his schooling at Old Hola, New Centreville, Lindsay Thurber High School and Olds College. He spent many years farming with his brother Steini on the family farm until Steini's passing. Allan married Bertha Melina and continued farming until they sold the farm and continued living on the acreage until they moved to Innisfail where he lived until his passing. Funeral Services will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 4027-48 Ave,Innisfail on Wednesday June 10th @ 1PM. Donations may be made to the SGS Icelandic Society , Markerville, Ab.
