Angus MacDonald

MacDonald, Angus Lawrence With sadness and a deep sense of loss the family of Larry MacDonald accept the sudden death of a loving husband, father and grandfather on October 26, 2013. Larry was born April 23, 1945 in Sudbury, Ontario and was predeceased by his parents, Angus Francis MacDonald and Betty Mae Clarke and his two sisters. Larry is survived by his wife Deborah of 39 years, his daughter Jennifer (Richard) Davidson, his sons Matthew (Chana) and Andrew (Corvette) and grandchildren Owen, Leah and Tanner. Larry graduated from Laurentian University and started his lifelong career with Canada Corrections in Kingston, Ontario. After marriage Larry returned to school and received his M.A. in Criminology from the University of Ottawa. After graduating he made the decision to move west and spend time in Peace River and Drumheller before moving to Innisfail and employment at Bowden Institution. While Larry enjoyed his career his greatest joy was spending time with his family. He loved family gatherings and watching movies with his children. Larry was a source of wisdom, strength, love and support to all those he cared about. We will miss his humour, smile, laughter and words of advice and encouragement. Larry held his family close to his heart and we will hold his memory forever in ours. A memorial tea will be held on Thursday, November 7 from 1:30pm to 3:30pm at the LCC Community Room at the Innisfail Library. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of your choice or read a good book as this was one of Larry’s passions.
