DAVID HUSBAND 1926 – 2017 Mr. David Husband of Innisfail, Alberta passed away at Sunset Manor on October 23, 2017 at the age of 90 years after a struggle with a heart condition. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara, son Dalt, four grandchildren, brother Wilfred (Esther), sister Mary, sister in law Joyce (Dial) Sherwood, and numerous nieces and nephews. David was predeceased by his parents: George and Ellen (Nellie) and an infant son. David was born in Innisfail and farmed in the Gordon District west of Innisfail. He attended Olds Agriculture College in 1972. He owned a dairy operation, range cows and also did custom bailing even after he and Barb moved to Innisfail in 1989. David loved traveling with Barb to places such as British Columbia and throughout Alberta, the U.S. and Hawaii, he especially loved socializing with neighbours and friends at the Legion, A & W, and the Co-op where the farmers loved to gather. Thirty six years ago David inherited two girls: Lorna and Maureen and later two grandchildren Kevin Leslie and Ashley Ross, and two son in laws: Larry Leslie and Neil Ross.A Memorial Service will be held at the Innisfail United Church on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. If friends so desire memorial tributes may be made to the Rosefield Care Centre or the Salvation Army.
