Don Meadows 1942 - 2017 Mr. Donald Harold Meadows of Innisfail, Alberta, succumbed to cancer at his home surrounded by his loving wife and children on April 7, 2017 at the age of 74 years. Don is survived by his wife Sherin of 48 years, son: Jeff (Cindy), and daughter: Teralin (Trevor) Thompson, brother: Lloyd (Ruth) Meadows, sister: Shirley (Mel) Williams, grandchildren: Kieran, Tristan, Ciara, Ally, Laura, Elyanna, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Don was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. Don loved his 40 year career with Schlumberger and all the friendships he had built there. He always said that the reason he stayed so long was there was not a job he would rather do. Many times he missed the camaraderie but never putting tools together in minus 30. After retirement, he enjoyed his and Sherins home farm that they had made to be their own sanctuary in life. Work was very much part of their enjoyment of it as well as many animals that were more like children than animals. Chasing grandchildren around Alberta for sporting events was another activity that Don enjoyed greatly and often would get a little too involved in. He was such a wonderful guy who everyone and anyone could and would get along with. He loved to laugh and joke and just keep life on a lighter side. He was so very loved and adored. A special thank you to Home Care, specifically Darlene who supported our choice to keep Don home at his sanctuary until the very end.
