Glen C. Ferguson October 19, 1923 - August 13, 2019 On Tuesday August 13, 2019 Glen C. Ferguson passed away at the age of 95, with family by his side at the Rosefield Centre. Glen was born October 19, 1923 to John and Harriet Ferguson. He was second youngest of ten children. He grew up on the homestead in the Calder district, and continued to farm it until his retirement. Glen enlisted in the army and trained for battle, fortunately the war ended. He came home to the farm and married the love of his life Ella, June 30,1951. They had a happy life on their farm raising a family and being a part of their community for many years. Retirement brought them to town to start new memories. Glen and Ella shared a love for camping, fishing, dancing, curling, cards, and chuckwagons. Glen loved to teach his grandkids to fish, and many summer weekends were filled with family and friends. Glen was a lifetime member of Innisfail Legion Branch #104. Often he would be at fish and chips Friday with Henry Howard or, horse races on Saturdays with friends. Glen will be missed by his children Carol Griner, Bruce Ferguson, Lori (John) Carmichael, daughter in law Lynda MacDonald grandchildren Bonnie (Robin) Kroetsch, Collin (Kora) Ferguson, Michael (Kelly)Germain, Chris Germain, Camille Germain, Bill (Tammy) Griner, Gordon (Jaime) Griner, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, many nieces and nephews. Glen was predeceased by wife Ella, son Gary son in law Bill Griner, granddaughter, Lisa Germain. All his brothers and sisters, and his parents John and Harriet. Glen was laid to rest, August 20, 2019 the family would like to thank everyone for their support, well wishes and thoughts.
