Glenora Maria Craigie

<p>Glenora Marie Craigie December 17, 1920 - January 5, 2016.</p><p>Glenora passed away peacefully at Cedars Villa Extendicare at the age of 95. She was born at Shaunavon, Sk and soon afterward moved with her eight siblings to Fosston, Sk.. She came to Alberta as young woman to join three of her Sisters. She met her husband, Blair, at a skating party and they were married in June 1941. They shared 67 wonderful years mostly on their farm at Bowden where they enjoyed life tremendously and raised their family. She was an active volunteer in a number of local organizations and charities. Travel took them to destinations around the world with farm groups and tours always a high light. Glenora and Blair moved to Calgary in 2002 to be closer to family. She was predeceased by Blair in 2009 and their son Don in 1971. She is survived by her son Ray (Angie), four grandchildren Lori (Greg), Shane (Heather), Andrea (Derek) and Mike (Jacky) and eight wonderful great grandchildren all of whom saw and visited with her regularly. A special thank you to the caring staff at Cedars Villa who went out of their way to make Mom's stay comfortable and pleasant over the last eight months. Memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Children’s Hospital. A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 2:00pm at the Heartland Funeral Services Chapel.
