NELSON, Harvey Oliver 1934 - 2019 Mr. Harvey Oliver Nelson passed away peacefully in his sleep, at his home in Innisfail, Alberta on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the age of 85 years. Harvey was born in Calgary, Alberta on June 21, 1934. The family moved to Glendon, Alberta when he was a young boy, and he completed his schooling there. He then went to SAIT, where he graduated as a Journeyman Plumber. Harvey retired in Cold Lake, Alberta, in 1987. His father passed away when Harvey was a young man; and he devoted his life to taking care of his mother, until her passing in 1988. Harvey and his sister, June made the move to Innisfail; where they lived together until June’s passing, in 2000. He continued to live independently, in his own home. Harvey will be lovingly remembered by his nieces, Andrea (Bruce) Ware, Denise (Alan) Laycox and Yvonne (Tim) Ruddick. Uncle Harvey is also survived by a large extended family of great, great, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Burial will take place in Glendon, Alberta at a later date. A Memorial Service will be held at the Innisfail Historical Village, 5139 – 42 Street, Innisfail Alberta on Monday, September 16, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in Harvey’s honor may be made directly to a charity of one’s choice.
