Kay Gall

Peacefully with her sons by her side, Katherine (Kay) Gall passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at the age of 84 years. Katherine was born on November 23, 1930 in Elnora, Alberta. She was the fourth of six children. Katherine was predeceased by her husband David, and brothers Alan and Jack Barnes. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved sons Stewart (Alison) Gall, Murray (Sharon) Gall; grandchildren Christine (Chris) Bullen, Laura Gall and Carter Gall; great granddaughter Seanna Bullen; sisters Dorothy Empey, Helen Neufeld and Jean Ferguson. She will also be missed by her extended family and many friends. Affectionately known as “Grannie” to many of her friends and family, Kay was a joy to all who knew her. She deeply loved her children and their families and made many wonderful friends and acquaintances through the church, her hobbies of playing cards, knitting and crocheting. Her strength and positive outlook on life was with her at all times. A celebration of Kay’s life will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 11:00am at the Innisfail United Church. The family expresses their most sincere and heartfelt thanks to the staff at Innisfail Country Manor and the doctors and nurses at the Innisfail Hospital. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
