Laura Towle
Laura Towle 1923 – 2013 Mrs. Laura Towle passed away peacefully at the Innisfail Health Care Centre on Saturday May 11, 2013 at the age of 89 years. Laura was born on June 9, 1923 in Wescott, Alberta where she resided until her marriage to John Towle in 1944. After moving around Alberta they settled in Lacombe where they raised their three boys. Laura started out on her own thirty three years later and met Wes Papke, they lived in Olds until he passed away, Laura then moved to her eldest son’s farm east of Innisfail. She resided there the last eight years where she loved getting visits and drinking coffee with family and friends. Laura leaves to mourn her three sons: Jim (Phyllis) of Innisfail, Terry (Kathy) of Shaunavon, Saskatchewan and Milt (Carolyn) of Stoney Plain, Alberta. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren: Jacqueline, Brad, Jenny, Sandy, Gary, Breanna, Jordon; thirteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brothers Leonard and Danny Russell and her sisters Vi Evans and Mildred Schenk. She was predeceased by her parents Daniel and Marguerite, her brothers Harold, Milton and Arnold Russell and her sister Eula Peterson and by her special partner Wes Papke. A Graveside Memorial will be held at the Didsbury Cemetery on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Society or to the donor’s choice.
