Mrs. Margaret Millar of the Innisfail Rosefield Centre passed away on November 12, 2013 at the age of 95 years. Margaret was born to James and Barbara Ward on November 17, 1917 on their farm in Manitoba. Margaret married R. Bruce Millar on April 5 1951. On their first anniversary she had their first son Jim. They moved to James River Bridge in 1958 and farmed together until Bruce passed away in 1997. Then Margaret farmed with her youngest son George until she moved to Sundre Foothills Lodge in 2009. Margaret is survived by three children; Jim (Alice) of Carsland, , Nora (Bruce) of Calgary, George of James River Bridge, daughter in Law Michelle Millar of Ayr Australia; five grandchildren, Dan (Karli), Sam, Ruth Anne, Steven and Kasandra Millar; two step-grandchildren Krystal (Aaron), Nicole and two great grandchildren Claire and Emily. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, sister Barbara and brother John, her husband Bruce and son Ken. Funeral Services for the late Margaret Millar will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Sundre West Country Centre 104 2nd Ave. NW Sundre., and officiated by Ron Laycraft. A Reception will follow with the interment at the Lobley Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
