Mary 'Anne' Olesen

Mrs. Mary ‘Anne’ Olesen of Red Deer, Alberta passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on August 18, 2020 at the age of 79 years. Anne was born to Les and Annie Tiede, and she grew up in Strathmore, Alberta. Anne met the love of her life, Ron, in Strathmore when she was 18 years old; they married on July 30, 1960. Ron and Anne moved to the Spruce View area and raised their four children on the family farm until 1977 when they moved to Innisfail. Anne worked in banking in Innisfail until she retired in 1995. After retirement, Anne and Ron spent their retirement years at Gleniffer Lake before settling in Red Deer. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years, Ron, and her children, her daughter Roberta (Bob) Wilson of Calgary, Alberta, her son Bret (Ginette Sauvé) of Red Deer, Alberta, her daughter Carmen Olesen (Steve Riley) of Penticton, British Columbia and her daughter Lisa Olesen of Red Deer, Alberta as well as twelve grandchildren: Tanya, Curt, Kathie, Adam, Megan, Trent, Sasha, Tynan, Keili, Ryan, Kelsey and Hailey, and nineteen great grandchildren: Iris, Wyatt, Jacob, Benjamin, Gracie, Denim, Jordan, Scott, Ryan, Addison, Cameron, Reggie, Topher, Hayden, Brooklyn, Scarlett, Karter, J.J. and Chloe. She will also be lovingly remembered by her brother Ralph (Joan) Tiede, her sister in law, Mayette Stanley, her sister in law, Marlene Linneberg as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Anne was predeceased by her parents, Leslie and Annie Tiede and her sister Linda Dahms (Tiede).
