Norman Mortenson Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Norman (Mort) Mortenson announce the passing of their father and friend on October 30, 2014. Mort was born on December 12, 1942 in the small town of Spalding, Saskatchewan. After completing his schooling Mort moved to Prince George, where he began his career in the plumbing/pipefitting trade. On July 24, 1976, Mort married his soul mate Glenda and together they raised their family. They moved to Bowden where they remained for the rest of their time together. Mort is predeceased by his loving wife Glenda, his parents Peter and Cora, brothers Lloyd, Obert, Vernon & Ken and sisters Yvonne, Ruby & Peggy. Mort is survived by his brother Joe (Cecile), daughter Brenda (Sheldon), son Edward (Jill), grandchildren Michael, Ashlea & Maple-Jade and an additional grandchild in the spring and his great grandchildren Jayden & Makayla. We will miss you Dad, rest in peace. Give Mom a hug from all of us. “Gone Fishin” A memorial service to celebrate Morty’s life will be held at the Heartland Funeral Services Chapel, Innisfail on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 1:00pm. Memorial tributes can be made to the Alzheimer Society.
