Ron Leach

Ron Leach 1938 – 2016 It is with great sorrow that the family of Ron Leach announce his passing on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at the age of 77 years. Ron was born and raised in Lacombe where he met the love of his life Donna Knutson who he was married to for 60 years. Their two sons Barry and Don were born in Lacombe and in 1963 they moved to Innisfail where their daughter Barb was born. Ron made many friends throughout his life as you could always stop over for a fresh coffee at places like Civic Tire then later at Lundgren Motors then when he built and ran Innisfail R.V. Automart. During retirement Ron loved golfing, fishing and mastered his woodworking skills creating just about anything you could make out of wood. He cut rocks and made beautiful jewellery for family and many friends. Those masterpieces will be treasured forever. Ron is survived by his loving wife Donna, children: Barry (Michele), Don (Trudy) Barb (Wolf) Krieger and eight grandchildren: Crystal (Justin) and their children Olivia and Zoey; Brian and his children Lucas and Gideon and Gideon’s mother Lisa; Amanda (Tyson) and their daughter Brooklyn; Kelsey (David); Shaun; Jayden; Ryan and Anna. He also leaves a brother Randy (Angie), a brother in law Harry Weymark; a sister in law Ruth Bakken as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his parents Kay and Jerry, a sister Juanita and a brother in law Cliff Bakken. A Celebration of Ron’s life will be held at the Innisfail Nazarene Church on Friday, April 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
