SYDNEY THOMAS CANNINGS 1927 – 2016 Mr. Sydney Thomas Cannings passed away at the Innisfail Health Care Centre on February 14, 2016 at the age of 88 years. He was predeceased by his wife Phyllis, his parents and two brothers (one a twin at birth) and a sister-in-law. Syd is lovingly remembered by Dorothy Olson, his partner for the past 6 years, his four children: Darrel (Corinne), Donna (Wayne), Debbie (Peter) and Diane; his stepdaughter Lorraine Carver and her family. His is also survived by his brothers: Ray (Sylvia), Ed and Dorothy’s family. Syd had numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends who will remember him with love. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the Bowden Friendship Centre or the Bowden Museum.
