Thomas Bateman

Thomas Allen Bateman 1956 2016 Mr. Thomas Allen Bateman passed away on January 25, 2016 one day before his 60th birthday. Thom was born in Innisfail and lived his entire life here. At an early age he started fishing with his dad, he loved the outdoors, and when he was in Boy Scouts he planted a small twig at the farm that grew into a huge tree and gave his parents lots of shade. He also loved music and especially taking pride in what his nieces and nephews were always up to. As a young man he spent a lot of time in the 4H Tractor Club and worked at the Innisfail Creamery and the Innisfail Co-op. Thomas had Diabetes for many years, however it did not stop him from spending countless hours with his mom after his father passed away. He cared deeply for his mom and did a terrific job taking care of her needs. Thomas is survived by his loving mother Betty Bateman; his sisters, Shirley (Dave) Adams; Carol (Don) Curtice; and Joy (Stan) Marshall; his nieces Tanya Gold and Lyndsey (Nathan) Bridge; his nephews, Ryan (Michelle) Marshall and Kyle Marshall; great niece Sydney Gold and great nephew Wilder Bridge. He was predeceased by his father Allen Bateman, his grandparents Ernest and Eva Bateman and William and Ethel Morison. A Memorial Service will be held at Heartland Funeral Service Chapel, Innisfail on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire memorial tributes may be made to the Alberta Diabetes Foundation.
