WILLIAM ‘HARVEY’ THOMPSON 1929-2016 Harvey passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital at the age of 87 years on December 18, 2016. Harvey was born on August 11, 1929 at Grenfell, Saskatchewan. As a young man he moved to Vancouver where he met his loving wife Dora, of 65 years. Harvey found his true talents were in the roofing and sheet metal business. In 1960 the family moved to Red Deer then on to Calgary where Harvey opened his own Roofing & Sheet Metal business. Upon retiring they moved to Innisfail. Harvey was predeceased by his wife Dora and his daughter Nancy. Harvey is survived by his five children, Wendy (Bill) Hehn, Victoria (Don) Webster, Larry Thompson, Robert (Janet) Thompson, Stewart (Tina) Thompson; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren and two sisters, Doris (Al) Mowat and Margaret Amy. A Celebration of Harvey’s life will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 4027 – 48 Ave., Innisfail, Alberta on Saturday, January 7 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Kathy Calkins officiating.
