David Vincent Red Deer, Alberta Obituary

David Vincent

It is with great sadness that we, the family announce the passing of Mr. David ‘Dave’ Carroll Vincent of Red Deer, Alberta. He passed after a well-fought battle right to the end with cancer, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the age of 81 years. Dave was born in Dawson Creek, British Columbia on July 17, 1937. As a child, Dave moved to Langley, British Columbia where he was raised. He spent a lot of his adult life on Vancouver Island, mostly in the Victoria Area and later moved to Penhold, Alberta and Red Deer Areas, where he retired. Dave did many things in his life; including working as a bartender (he enjoyed a good time and a cold beer). He was a janitor and custodian of apartment buildings and also an excellent finishing carpenter, who plied his trade all over British Columbia and Alberta. Dave will be lovingly remembered by his brothers, Warren (Anne), Donald (Terry) and Doug (Sandra) and his sister, Betty (Gill). He will also be fondly remembered by his large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends including Neil (Pam), Mary Anne (Dan), Dean (Lorna), Kim and Attila (Raylene). Dave was predeceased by his long time partner, Sharmaine Welling. Dave's family would like to “Thank” all the staff on Unit 32 of the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre for all the care and attention that Dave received during his final stay. As per Dave’s request, no service will be held. Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.parklandfuneralhome.com. Arrangements in care of Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer. 403.340.4040 or 1.800.481.7421.
