Phyllis Goodall (1928-2020) Phyllis Winifred Putsey was born January 20, 1928 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, the youngest of 3 children. She loved her dogs and enjoyed riding horses, skating on the frozen ponds and long bike rides with friends. As a teen she worked at the 5 to a dollar store and fell in love with Gordon Goodall, who she married when he came home from the war. They settled in New Westminster, B.C., where she worked as a Nurse's Aide, and they lived for 14 years before relocating to Squamish, B.C. with their four children in 1961. Another child one year later completed the family and kept Phyllis busy. She was a good Mom and worked hard for her family. She was always knitting a sweater for someone and loved to play cards and Trivial Pursuit. She was a member of the Legion Ladies Auxillary and the Darts Club for many years which she thoroughly enjoyed. Phyllis remained in the same Dentville home for 54 years. IN 2015 she moved to Hilltop House care facility where she was always content, joining in with the Word Games, doing crosswords and jigsaw puzzles, and walking every day. She said many times that she had a good life. Phyllis passed away at Squamish General Hospital on January 24th, 2020 at the age of 92. She is predeceased by her husband Gordon and her son-in-law Dennis McCarthy, and survived by her children Maureen McCarthy, Marilynn Green, Lyall (Kim) Goodall, Dave aka Pete (Lois) Goodall, and Susie Goodall (Ron Bailey), 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, who all miss her greatly.
