May Wachal OAKBANK, Manitoba Obituary

May Wachal

With great sadness, peacefully on the morning of February 16th, 2020 we lost our beautiful wife, mother & grandmother. Left to mourn their tremendous loss is May's husband Tom of 60 years, son Tom (Cathy) grandchildren Thomas, Peter, Georgette & Catelin of Australia, as well as daughter Sandy, grandchildren Joshua & Emma. She was predeceased by her very close sister Bonnie, sister Audrey and her parents Lillian & Peter & leaves close families Bellemare, Kulyk, Quesnel, Chalus, & Roberge. She had a special bond with her sister Bonnie that was filled with a lifetime of love & laughs. May loved her family dearly including many nieces and nephews enjoying a special relationship with Tammy, Jody & Andrew. Mom was an avid and passionate supporter of her own children in their sporting pursuits. In her spare time she coached ringette, soccer and women's hockey. In her youth she played baseball and in later years began golfing with dad and their NPV crew. Mom loved quilting, sewing and baking. Mom and Dad moved to Dugald where they were welcomed with open arms and many close friendships developed. Mom and dad were blessed to have them in their lives. May worked in Winnipeg School Division No 1 for 25 years, during that time she developed many lasting friendships and was very highly respected by her friends and peers. Our deep thanks to all involved with the care and love provided as well as the relationships that developed during her stay at the Middlechurch Care Home, special thanks going to Dr. Haligoski and the D2 ward and the Team at Deer Lodge Hospital. Our eternal gratitude to Dianna Rassmussen director of ALS Society of Manitoba. To our families and friends... Thank you for all the love, care, support and devotion towards moms care. God Bless and special thanks to the Ministry of the Oakbank United Church & Holly and the Season's Funeral Home. May she Rest in Peace A celebration of May’s life will be held on Monday, February 24 at 1:00 pm at Oak Bank United Church 582 Balsam Crescent.
