Abigail was born Saturday, July 13, 1968 in The Pas, Manitoba. She spent half her life on the Opaskwayak Cree Nation. Abigail was blessed with 10 children Felicia, Lyrecia, Theresa, Rhonda, Raymond, Andrew, Delaney, Kelsey, Chelsea, and Elizabeth. As a child, Abigail was raised by her grandparents the late Malcolm and Flora Partridge on the Opaskwayak Cree Nation. Later on in life she ventured south to Winnipeg, Manitoba where she met her common-in-law husband Larry Branconnier, whom she loved and cherished with all her heart. Together they had 3 beautiful daughters. Abigail had many great friends and often spoke of them to her family. Her special friends, Dino Constant, Debbie Sutherland, and Roger Young. “All angels united in heaven”. Abby, as many of us known her by, loved reading novels, exploring the city, collecting movies, doing her hair and laughing and joking around with family. She always had a smile to remember. Abby enjoyed spending special occasions with her children and grandchildren. She made sure they were happy and comfortable. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She also loved travelling with her spouse Larry from Winnipeg to Opaskwayak to come and spend time with her children and grandchildren. She always had time to drop in on her brother Junior. She had a lot of good times and memories with her siblings. Abby was a hard worker. She did various jobs around Winnipeg. Abby attended school at Mary Duncan Elementary. She then went on to continue her education at Mary Mound in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Abigail passed away peacefully with her family by her bedside, Monday, July 2, 2012 at the Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 43 years. She is now our angel. Abigail is survived by her common law husband of 20 years, Larry Branconnier; daughters Felicia McGillivary (Darren), Theresa Constant (Dylan), Lyrecia Constant (Roland), Rhonda Constant (Walter), Chelsea, Elizabeth, Kelsey; sons Raymond Constant (Denise), Delaney, Andrew; father David Gordon McGillivary Sr.; brother David “Prutt” McGillivary Jr. (Betty-Ann); sisters Helen McGillivary (Leo) from Nelson House, MB, Mary-Ann (Thomas) Ranville, Lillian (Ryan) Clemons from Winnipeg; uncles Harry G. McGillivary (Eileen), Gordon McGillivary (Martina), Raymond McGillivary (Glenda); aunties Linda (Pearly Sr.) Stevens, Ann Shirley McGillivary, Verna Constant, Trina (Brian) McKay, Mary Lynn McGillivary, Lillian (John) Nasekapow, Alice (Roland) Wilson, Florence Partridge; 14 grandchildren, Austin, Randy, Aiden, Haydence, Lexi, Kylie, Dylan Jr., Audrina, Rowan, Andriana, Christopher, Caiden, Kashtin, Brody. Abigail was predeceased by her mother Sally-Ann McGillivary; brother Gordon McGillivary; grandparents Malcolm and Flora Partridge, Helen McGillivary and Harry G. McGillivary Sr.; uncles Riley Partridge, John Partridge, Barnabas Flett, Ahab Partridge, James Partridge, Phillip Lathlin, Robert Lathlin, Allan Packo Sr., Solomon McGillivary, Stanley McGillivary, Larry Flett; aunties Helen Lathlin, Julia Lathlin, Jessie Dorion, Jane Ross, Annie Flett, Mary Highway, Irene Highway, Christina McKay, Olive McGillivary, Patsy Whitney; nieces Shaylynn McGillivary; nephews Billy-Jo McGillivary; cousins Darryl “Govenor” McGillivary, Colin Partridge Sr., Reggie Lathlin, Curtis and Antoine Blacksmith; Henry McKay, Angel Brightnose-Constant, Ainsley Blacksmith.
