Adelaide Lavallee

Our dear and beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, auntie, mother in law, sister in law and friend Adelaide Lavallee (nee Lachose) passed away peacefully at St. Anthony’s Hospital, The Pas, MB, with her children and family by her bedside, Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at the age of 67 years. Adelaide was born Monday, April 10, 1944 at Cedar Lake, Manitoba to John and Sophie Lachose. Adelaide Lachose was united in marriage to Nelson Lavallee Sr., May 17, 1980 and they were blessed with 5 children. Our mom became a born again Christian November, 1979. She enjoyed praising and dancing for the Lord, she always read the bible to her grandchildren and taught them how to pray. Not a day went by that she didn’t phone to see how her children and grandchildren were doing. Our mom was always on the go from one town to another visiting family and friends or for church services until her sickness slowed her down. She didn't own a vehicle but the lord always provided a way for her to get to where she was going and by that she would always encourage her family and friends to keep praying and get saved. Before she got sick mom loved to cook and bake. She tried to teach Ardelle and Roxanne but they just couldn’t cook or bake like the way our mom did. Mom said the happiest days of her life was when she saw her sons get married and the birth of her first great grandchild. Mom was a big hearted, loving woman, she was so humble and kind, that is why everybody who knew her loved her for the woman she was and will sadly be missed. Mom got her education at Ninette, Manitoba in 1967-1971 but reached her highest achievement in education in 2002 when she received her high school diploma and her driving learner permit at the age of 58 years.
