Albert Reinfort Obituary

Albert Leo Reinfort was born Friday, January 18, 1957 in Flin Flon, Manitoba to Elva and Albert Reinfort. Albert passed away peacefully at his home in Calgary, Alberta, Saturday, January 8, 2011, age 53 years. Al was a big guy with a huge heart. He loved his grandchildren and family, they meant the world to him and he spoiled them any way possible. Al was happier when he reunited with his son Shawn and grandchildren after so many years. Albert and Shirley were always married with a special and great relationship. They always had the communication, friendship and love for their children and grandchildren. We showed dad that we cared and loved him by being beside him through all the years of sickness and throughout his life. Al was a quiet guy who always had great talks and advice with family and friends. If dad knew you were doing wrong, he would let you know, along with giving advice. Al was battled diabetes throughout the years and his heart couldn’t handle anymore stress. He had numerous heart attacks through the years and also went through numerous surgeries for his heart and just recently in December of 2010 his right foot was amputated. Al and his baby Venus had their own close relationship, dad would always unlock his door for her. Except this one time dad didn’t want to open the door, so Venus curled up in the fetal position and laid by the door sleeping until he opened it. Venus was Albert’s baby girl. Al will be sadly missed by special friend and wife Shirley; great friend Dennis; children Rachel (Gerald), Renae, Shawn, Marcel (Lillian), Michelle; grandchildren Phoenix, Jaidyn, Kienan, Rehannah, Randie, Rachel Jr., Gerald Jr. “Baby Dollar”, Venus “His Baby”, Dakota “Cody”, Marcel Jr., Tomaze; his father Albert Sr.; brother Erwin (Brenda) and their family; sister Cindy (Wayne) and their family; close friends John (Joanne) Johnson, Norman (Josephine); mother-in-law Nancy; father-in-law Lucien; all the Flett family; and numerous aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Al was predeceased by his mother Elva; son Randy Joseph; brothers-in-law Darrell Spence (Foo), Joseph Anthony; uncles-in-law and aunties-in-law George Flett Sr., Francis and Ruby Flett, Johnny and Agnes Flett. Wake services were held Friday, January 14, 2011, 6:00 pm at the Church of Messiah, Opaskwayak Cree Nation, Manitoba. The funeral service for Albert was held Saturday, January 15, 2011, 1:00 pm at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cathedral, The Pas, Manitoba with Rev. Verna Jebb and Rev. Irene Personius presiding.
