It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Brian Charles Garton, Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Cranberry Portage, Manitoba, age 51 years. Brian was born Wednesday, December 2, 1959 in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Charlie and Myrna Garton. Brain grew up and was educated in Lorette, Manitoba. Brian did some farming before moving to Cranberry Portage where he worked as a hotel manager at the Northern Inn, for the past 13 years. Brian and Shelley were married October 28, 1995 and together they raised their beautiful daughter, Tina. Brian enjoyed fishing, camping and travelling. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Brian leaves to mourn his daughter Tina Garton; six sisters Kimberly, Jenny, Barb, Darlene, Collette, Bonnie and their families; two brothers Robert, Douglas and their families; many nieces and nephews, too numerous to mention. Brian was predeceased by his wife Shelley Ann Garton (nee Kostyk) April 20, 2011; father Charlie Garton; mother Myrna Lebrun. In keeping with Brian's wishes, cremation took place and a service of remembrance to celebrate his life was held Tuesday, August 16, 2011, 2;00 pm at the Chapel of Hemauer Funeral Home, The Pas, Manitoba with James Hemauer presiding. Music ministry was provided by Rochelle Rydberg. Interment took place at Lakeside Cemetery, The Pas, Manitoba.
