Bruce Campbell Obituary

Thursday, July 9th 2015 Bruce Duncan Campbell (better known to some as Uncle BooBoo), long time resident of The Pas, Manitoba, passed away after a short but hard fought battle with cancer, at St. Anthony's Hospital, The Pas, Manitoba, at the age of 68 years. Bruce was born in The Pas Manitoba, Thursday, July 3, 1947 to Malcolm Glen and Leona Campbell and he was the fifth of seven children. In 1965 at the age of 17, he quit school to join the RCAF, where he remained until June of 1968. After returning from the Air Force he went to Moose Lake where he worked for Jock McAree whom he greatly admired. This is where he met and married his first wife, Jock's daughter, Martha (Bunni). Together they had two beautiful children Pam and Stuart and Bruce began working for CFI. Bruce had a wandering spirit and thought that his fortune lay to the west. While seeking his fortune he met his second wife Susan, and relocated to Lethbridge Alberta where they welcomed two more beautiful children, Cole and Cristen. While in Alberta Bruce tried his hand in many different lines of work as he was never afraid to learn something new. In 1986 Bruce returned to his hometown of The Pas with his son Cole where he found employment with Manfor. Shortly after returning home Bruce met Linda and her three children (David, Chris and Jodie) and together they combined their families and set up home. Throughout the years spent in The Pas Bruce enjoyed camping, fishing (in his homemade flat bottom boats) and teaching his brothers how to play guitar during their infamous Thursday night "choir" practices. Bruce is survived by his children Pam (Larry) Fisher, Stuart (Siranee) Campbell, Cole Campbell, and Cristen Campbell; grandchildren Jordan, McKenzie, Fraser, Connor, Gavin, Axel, Jack, William and Connor; siblings Margo (Mike) James, Louise (George) Chernetz, Peter Campbell, Roy (Mary) Campbell; sister-in-law Diane Campbell; and long time partner Linda Kuhl along with her children David, Chris, and Jodie and numerous nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. Bruce was predeceased by his father Malcolm Glen; mother Leona; brother Donny; sister Glenda; sister-in-law Carol; and niece Sandy.
