Clarice Chartier

Clarice was born Friday, September 7, 1956 in Shoal River Reserve, Manitoba. She was born to Mina and Johnny Cook. Clarice grew up in Shoal River until she relocated to Easterville. Clarice was united in marriage to Jonas Chartier, January 19, 1974. They spent 31 years together. Clarice was a nice, caring person. She liked spending quality time with her grandchildren and visiting with family and friends. Clarice also enjoyed traditional food such as, fish, ducks and moose meat. Clarice passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at St. Anthony’s Hospital, The Pas, Manitoba, at the age of 60 years. Clarice is survived by her children Sterling (Esther) Cook, Florence (Edmund) Chartrand, Rose (Franklin) Turner, George Chartier and her baby Valentina Chartier; grandchildren Joshua, Kassidy, Shaina, Tristin, Alexa, Rosie, Nolan, Annie, Shaylene, Blade, Shayanne, Alex, Karrissa, Breaden; brothers and sisters Lambert Cook (Elizabeth), Matilda Cook, Wanda Cook (Tom), Henry Cook, Gilbert Cook (Darlene), Ovide Cook, Leroy Cook, Lisa Cook, Dean Cook, Pearly Cook; auntie Mary Jane Cook; uncles Roderick Sinclair (Vitaline), Nicholson Sinclair (Emma), Nicky Sinclair, Ron Cook; brothers-in-law Phillip Chartier, Ovide (Edna) Chartier, Daniel Genaille; sister-in-law Sylvia Hengemuehl. Clarice was predeceased by her husband Jonas Chartier; parents Mina and Johnny Cook; sisters Louise Moore, Rosalind Genaille, Jemima Cook; aunties Doreen Brass, Rubina Stevens, Josephine Chartier, Helen Genaille; uncles Phillip Sinclair, Delbert Sinclair, Willard Sinclair, Walter Cook; father-in-law George Chartier; mother-in-law Annie Chartier; sister-in-law Jessie Chartier; brothers-in-law Harry Chartier; Peter (Mabel) Chartier, Gabriel Chartier. Clarice will also be missed by her close friends Shirley Lavallee, Bertha Turner, Diane George, Nancy Mink, Adeline Lavallee, Patsy George, Theresa Catcheway, Priscilla Cook-Watt, Donna Thomas, Russell Lachose.
