In loving memory of our beloved father, brother, uncle, godfather, brother-in-law, cousin, friend and choom, Clifford George Ballantyne “Chachoose”, who was born Tuesday, July 29, 1952 to the late Juiet and Barney Ballantyne. Clifford lived in Moose Lake half his life. Chachoose was a strong, kind hearted man, full of life, who always had a smile for people and great compassion for his family and friends. He was a very loving father, and choom to his children and grandchildren. He took great pride in watching them grow day by day. He was a very easy going and friendly person who always enjoyed family get-togethers and visiting family and friends. Also talking on the phone with his sisters and the ones who received a early morning phone call from him will be missed. Clifford’s favorite sport was soccer and he made his first soccer team in Moose Lake called the “Young Guns”. Chachoose held many different jobs throughout his lifetime. Logging for Moose Lake Loggers, Medical Driver, Tree Planter, fishing, water man, sewer man for Mosakahiken Cree Nation, Com-Stock, Hydro and bus driver for Frontier and labourer for numerous companies. Clifford George Ballantyne passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 4, 2015 at the Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg, Manitoba, at the age of 62 years. Chachoose is survived by his common law Paula Lathlin; children Janine Ballantyne (Ray), Darren (Cody) Lathlin, Lauren Lathlin, Sherilyn Lathlin, Earl Audie Peter Lathlin; god daughters Jennilee Ballantyne, Zelda Stevens, Sharlene Pelly, Jessica Ballantyne, Leanne Patchinose, grandchildren Zayna, Rayanna, Micheal, Hayden, McKenzie, Rosaleah, Jayda, “Baby Choom”, “June Bug”, Felicia, John, Miriams, Sergei and many grandchildren, too numerous to mention. Clifford is also survived by his sisters Clara (Joe) Lambert, Grace (Joe) Pelly, Vivian “Pips” “Jellybean” Ballantyne; brother Hanson (Sarah) Ballantyne; brother-in-law Robert Packo; nephews Darrel, Robert, Joey, Clifford, Neil, Jordon, Michael, Dion Jr.; nieces Sharlene, Judy, Lindsey “Sasha”, Jessica, Roxanne, Kayla and after the passing of his sister Justina and brother-in-law Dion Campbell, he looked after his many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by all who loved him. Chachoose was predeceased by his mother Juliette Ballantyne; father Wilfred John Ballantyne; sisters Eleanor Packo, Ola Ballantyne, Justina Campbell; uncles Jack (Priscilla) Nasikapow, Baptiste Ballantyne; aunts Florence Sinclair, Caroline Sinclair; niece Jackie Panacheese; brother-in-law Dion Campbell.
