Clinton Kristianson Obituary

Clinton was born Friday, June 22, 1951 in The Pas, Manitoba, this is where he lived most of his life. Knut loved to go trapping, especially spring trapping at his dad’s cabin. This was his favorite home away from home! Knut loved to be in the outdoors. He truly enjoyed going to Wanless to visit with long time close friends and of course take in fishing at anytime of the year or just getting out in the bush. Knut also enjoyed going out to the Valley, especially farming time where he would help whoever he could and loved to visit all his special friends there. All it took was a phone call and Knut would gladly give you a helping hand. He also loved to “house sit’ and look after your animals and as we all know Knut, he loved to clean and so your home would be cleaner when you arrived than when you left. Knut touched many, many lives from very young to very old. Knut had one of the most beautiful smiles and along with those blue eyes he would capture anyone’s attention. He was also known for his many stories and jokes that would leave you with a very happy feeling inside. He truly enjoyed going for a vehicle ride at any time especially with his “little girl” Dawn and it didn't matter where. Throughout his life, Knut worked in various hotels, drove truck for various friends, laid carpet and flooring and worked in the body shop. One of Knut’s favorite sayings, especially to all his women friends was, “How’s my hair?” His favorite expression to the guys was, “I’m talking…” Knut had a passion for music and it didn’t matter where or when, he would burst into song! Knut was a very strong minded man and also physically as well. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Knut passed away peacefully with his “little girl” Dawn and one of his closest friends, Garnet Profit at his side, Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg, Manitoba, age 60 years. In Knut’s passing he leaves his loved ones, his “little girl” Dawn; stepson Dylan (Shauna); “Papa’s” granddaughter Lexus; and his special furry little companion “Zea”. Knut is also survived by daughters Angela and Candy; brothers Ken (Gail) Kristianson, Keith Kristianson, Rodney (Agnes) Bland; and many nieces and nephews. Knut was predeceased by his father Bill; mother Joan; sister Darlene; favorite uncle Ralph; uncle Charlie Bland; and other close relatives. In keeping with Knut’s wishes, cremation took place and a service of remembrance to celebrate his life was held Thursday, August 18, 2011, 1:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall, The Pas, Manitoba with James Hemauer presiding. Following the service a reception was held for family and friends at the Royal Canadian Legion. If friends so desire, donations to the Colorectal Cancer Association of Canada, 60 St. Clair Avenue East, Suite 204, Toronto, Ontario, M4T 1N5 would be appreciated by Knut’s family.
