Corrina Caribou

Corrina was born Wednesday, May 9, 1979 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was raised in Brandon and Cross Lake and then eventually moved back to her home in Pukatawagan where she met and fell in love with her common-law Raymond and they had 3 beautiful sons. Corrina was a very good listener, she gave a helping hand and was full of surprises. She was a warm, loving, caring mother, daughter, sister, auntie, godmother and friend to everyone she knew. She was always there for her family and friends and never one to judge others. Corrina’s most favorite pastime was going to Russell Lake, pick blueberries with her family and in-laws. She use to talk about how beautiful Russell Lake was. Corrina also loved visiting family and friends and spending time with her favorite sista LuLu and her baby sister Alexis better known as “Muchie”. She enjoyed playing Bingo with her granny Genevieve. You would often hear her laughing wherever she was at. She liked writing poems and quotes in her book of thoughts and she enjoyed reading, doodling and watching her favorite shows. Corrine passed away very unexpectedly, Saturday, October 2, 2010 in Pukatawagan, Manitoba, at the age of 31 years. Corrina is survived by her common-law Raymond; sons Darren, Scotty and Sundin; adoptive parents Bernadette and Joe Ross; biological parents Claire Caribou and Patrick Bighetty; sisters Rena, Alexis (Davis), Patricia (Herbert), Elissa (Ron), Kerry; brothers Cameron (Delphine), Corey (Amy), Moise (Judy), Oliver (Star), Kyle (Nicole), Terrence (Kristen) Morgan, Ethan; grandmothers Genevieve Caribou, Philothee Linklater; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and extended family and friends. Corrina was predeceased by grandparents Oliver Caribou, Fred Bighetty, Elise Bighetty, Selazie Linklater, Joe Linklater; brothers Gerald, P.J.; nephew Latriel; uncle Paul Caribou, J.C.L., Solomon Linklater; and numerous family members.
