Darren Bear-Ross

Darren was born on Friday, May 7th, 1993 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan to Gloria Bear and Dale Ross. He is remembered for his hard work, loving heart and humorous personality. Darren spent the beginning of his life in his hometown of Sandy Bay, Saskatchewan, where he grew to love the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and hunting along side his dad, who encouraged him to pursue other interests such as basketball and hockey. Hockey became an important part of Darren’s life. At the age of 16 Darren decided to make the move to Dauphin where he could further his interest in the game. He remained in Dauphin until he graduated high school, and went on to join the work force in Alberta as a welding apprentice. While Darren was in Dauphin he lived with his grandparents John and Delores Ross and later lived with his aunt and uncle, Randy and Kim Selin and two of his cousins, Bradi and Dylan Selin. The Selins never knew how big of an impact he would have on their family, especially Dylan and the boys. He has always been known for his self-motivating nature that allowed him to continue providing for himself. His family will forever hold him in their hearts, and remember him for his love of his family, especially his nieces who admired him the most.
