David Reich

Beloved husband, step dad, uncle, papa, chapan, cousin, brother, brother-in-law, friend, Dave was born in Kenville, Manitoba, Thursday, February 26, 1942. Dave lived in various places and liked working in various jobs such as truck driving, logging for Petryk Brothers, Anderson Logging and Werbicki Brothers Hauling. Dave was a very quiet person, liked to travel and loved taking his wife to doctor appointments in Winnipeg. Dave passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 at St. Anthony’s Hospital, The Pas, Manitoba, at the age of 70 years. Dave is survived by his loving wife Marilyn; stepdaughters Cherlyn Mink, whom he use to call “Tiger” because he couldn’t pronounce Cherlyn, Samantha Constant, Angie Constant; stepson Kenneth Morgan; son Danny Scatch; sister-in-law Marlene Mink; brother-in-law Willard Mink; step nieces and nephews Rhonda (Brian) George, Lila (Donald) Gott, Lora (Norris) Thomas, Douglas Lachose, Margie Mink, Derek Mink, Gary Mink, Melissa Queskekapow; grandchildren Michael George, Brian George Jr., Brianne George, Eric Mink, Erin Mink, Stacy Mink, Tron Thomas, Kyrell Lachose, Leland Constant (Leland call Dave “Papa”; great grandchildren Marlon Mink, Renzo Dorion, Marshall Daniels, Noreen Thomas. Dave was predeceased by his parents John and Hazel Reich; in-laws Colin and Elsie Mink; brothers-in-law Ernie Mink, Percy Mink; sister-in-law Margie Lachose (nee Mink). Wake services were held Tuesday, February 26, 2013 and Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at the Church of Messiah, Opaskwayak Cree Nation, MB. The funeral service was held Thursday, February 28, 2013, 11:00 am at the Church of Messiah, Opaskwayak Cree Nation, MB, with Rev. Michael Chartrand and Rev. Clara Lambert presiding. Interment followed at Lakeside Cemetery, The Pas, Manitoba. Pallbearers were Joe Lambert, Gary Munroe, Samuel George, Borys Werbicki, Wes Werbicki, Phillip Mink, Clarence Easter and Thomas Mink. Honorary pallbearers were all of Dave and Marilyn’s family and friends. If friends so desire, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3L 0K6, would be appreciated by David’s family.
