Dora Erickson

Dora Emily Erickson was born into a family of 12 children on Saturday, November 15, 1919 to Colbin and Hannah Erickson. She received her education at Script School. She worked around Rose Valley and area doing housekeeping and cooking. Mom was united in marriage to Herbert Erickson on September 26, 1941 in Dalton, SK. They farmed for many years at Nora, SK where she always had an extra plate or two for anyone at all meals. They moved to Foam Lake for a couple years before moving to Cranberry Portage in 1969. Mom worked as a custodian at Frontier School Division for many years with Dad. Dora was a very caring, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and really enjoyed being around her family. She liked gardening, cooking, ceramics, grandchildren and friends. She enjoyed seniors club in both Cranberry Portage and The Pas. Dora is survived by her sons Ken (Bev), Marvin (Lilianne), Brian (Faye), Reg (Jackie); daughter Diane; daughter-in-law Lynn; plus numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. As well as her two brothers Lester (Merle) and Donald; sisters-in-law Annabelle and Laurie. Dora was predeceased by her husband Herb; sons Vernon and Eldon; her parents; and majority of her brothers and sisters.
