It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one, Douglas David Campbell, Friday, May 22, 2015, at St. Anthony’s Hospital, The Pas, Manitoba, at the age of 61 years. Douglas was born Tuesday, February 16, 1954, in The Pas Manitoba, to his late mother Ruth Campbell and late father Henry Campbell. On February 16, 1990, he was united in marriage to his lifelong partner Janice whom he loved, cherished and walked together with the Lord. They raised two sons Stevie Gladu and the late Shawn Moore. Douglas went to services all over the Northern Communities. He became a Pastor of Moose Lake church in the year 2011. Known as House of the Lord. His love and devotion to reach people through the words of God. In which it inspired so many people to have faith in God’s work. He also shared the word of God through airways. Douglas was a very understanding and loving kind person, to everyone he met. He was always willing to listen to our problems and comfort, those who sought compassion. He will be truly missed. Douglas was a loving husband and father. He spoke the word of God and learned to live through the Bible with his wife of 25 years. He would share a lot of good things about the word of God and pray for the sick and the ones that were close to him, would continue to speak about the love of God. “When I first met my husband in 1989 the month of October. We met through a good friend. Her name was Sarah Woodhouse. She was from Fairford. At the time she lived in Winnipeg. Douglas and I started dating and going out to different places. It was love at first sight. When we met he wanted to get married right away. So after 5 months we were married at the Pentecostal Church in Winnipeg. It was a nice day. My husband and our sons would like to travel with each other. He was the baby brother of the brothers. So they wanted him to have a nice wedding and with the families help, we were blessed to have our day.” “My husband and I took in Frontier students, it was a lot of work and fun. My husband was a loving and kind man to know. He would do a lot of things around the house. He was a good worker. He cleaned up and was a good cook too. He would share a lot of good stories about his late mom and dad. He would tell me how he helped his parents when he was growing up; he would do the work for them. My husband loved to sing, play his guitar and we would sing together. My husband really loved to travel for the Lord. He also loved dogs, we have two dogs Peter and Zena, and he would feed them and take them for walks. He would also talk to them, and prayed for them. I really loved and cared for my husband a lot. He had a good heart and he would pray for me. I know that I’m going to miss my husband dearly. I know he is with the Lord and he is rejoicing on the streets of glory.” Douglas leaves to mourn, his wife Janice; son Stevie; daughters Brenda and Theresa Gladu; brothers John (Margaret) Campbell, Gilbert Campbell Sr., Ken (Martha) Campbell, and Ron (Marlene) Campbell; sisters Beatrice Sinclair, Ella Sanderson, Lorraine Campbell, Carol (Lazarus) Lathlin; sisters-in-law Charlene Gladu, Debbie Gladu, Susan Gladu; brother-in-law Gordon Gladu. Douglas was pre-deceased by his parents Henry and Ruth Campbell; In-laws Gwen and Ernest Gladu; brothers Henry Campbell Jr., Jonas Campbell; sisters Josephine Sanderson, Sally Cordell, Flora (Lola) Campbell; brother-in-law Phillip Sinclair; sisters-in-law Alice Campbell, Agnes Campbell; son Shawn Moore.
