Druscilla Young Obituary

Our loving mother Druscilla will be deeply missed by loved ones and many friends.

Druscilla was born Sunday, June 16, 1940, at Cedar Lake, Manitoba, to John and Mary Catt. She was raised by her grandparents and Paul Daniels, whom she called, “my brother.”

Druscilla passed away peacefully, Sunday, December 20, 2015, at St. Anthony’s Hospital, The Pas, Manitoba at the age of 75 years.

Our mom was a trapper woman in her younger days at Cedar Lake with her first husband, the late Paul Broussa and nephew William Beardy. In 1964, she moved to Easterville where she resided until her illness.

Druscilla enjoyed to spend time with her children and grandchildren and loved to tell them stories about Cedar Lake.

Mom loved visiting her sisters Lena Gott, Sally Bourassa and brother Raymond Catt. She enjoyed singing Cree songs and she loved to listen to Gospel music. Our mom loved to go to church to listen to the preachings. When she had time she would make handmade quilts for her family.
