Edward Fourre THE PAS, Manitoba Obituary

Edward Fourre

Edward was born Saturday, April 16, 1938 at The Pas, Manitoba to Edward Fourre and Marie Richards. Chinky, as he was known to many, grew up and was educated in The Pas. He loved hunting, fishing and just naturally being outdoors. Edward was a kind and generous man even with the little he had, he was always giving his stuff away. There was always a pot of tea or soup on the stove for whoever walked into his home. Edward loved his pooch “Poopsie” who was always by his side. Even before his time came, he was asking for “Poopsie” while he was in the hospital. Edward met Verna, which he affectionately called “Witchy-Poo”, early in his life and together they had a son, Brian. Edward worked most of his life until he got sick and was unable to continue working. Edward passed away peacefully, Tuesday, July 22, 2014, with family by his side, at St. Anthony’s Hospital, The Pas, Manitoba, at the age of 76 years. Edward is survived by his son Brian Fourre (Joyce) of The Pas; siblings Hilda Dunbar, Lorraine Dick (Lloyd), Shirley Bradburn (Steven), Joe Fourre, Brenda Ladouceur (Vince), Victoria Comeau; aunt Gladys Thorne; his pooch “Poopsie”; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, too numerous to mention. Edward was predeceased by his wife Verna (nee Umpherville) Fourre; parents Edward Fourre and Marie Richards; siblings Donald Fourre, Allan Fourre and Darlene Dahr. “You will be sadly missed but never forgotten.” “Caring, Daring and Sharing.” FUNERAL SERVICE Saturday, July 26, 2014 7:00 pm Chapel of Hemauer Funeral Home, The Pas, Manitoba Presider: James Hemauer Honorary Pallbearers: All of Edward’s Family and Friends Cremation to Follow I would like to thank, first and foremost, Marcel for taking care of Dad and running him around on his “cheque days” and to everyone who touched his life, family and friends.
