Elizabeth Colomb Obituary

Elizabeth Rose Colomb began her spiritual journey on Friday, February 6, 2015 at the age of 65 years. She was born to her grateful parents Lawrence Colomb and Theresa R Colomb Saturday, September 10, 1949 at Pukatawagan, Manitoba. Rose was a good person in heart and spirit, she enjoyed life and had talent with her cooking, baking, cleaning and enjoyed being around her family and friends, especially playing Bingo with auntie Caroline. She also went to school in Cranberry Portage for the BUNTEP program. She became ill and was in and out of the hospital and finally had to go to Winnipeg where she resided at Parkview Lodge to be near a hospital that could care for her illness. She was a strong believer in her faith, even when her illness got tougher she always faced the day with a smile and a prayer for everyone. Rose is survived by her husband, Cyrille Colomb, children, Connie (Lawrence), Cynthia, Timothy, Gwendolyn, Theresa, grandchildren, Cheyenne, David, Chantel, Kirk, Katina, Nadine, Brentan, Iris, Tyson, Rachel, Maxine, Bradley, Shiningstar, Precious, Tito, Akiva, Cecil, Great Grandchildren, Liam, Kayai, Theodore, Brooklyn, Jeorge. Auntie Sophie Garr, Sister in law, Flora J Castel-Bighetty (Gabe), children, grandchildren, and chapans; Rosie Colomb, children, grandchildren, and chapan; Anne Mary Bear, children, grandchildren, and Chapans; Garry (Lillian), children, grandchildren, and chapans. Special brothers and sisters, Rory, Nelson, Elie, Gordon (Maureen), Howard, Robert, Douglas, Houston, Cory, Harry James, Patrick, Maureen and Family, Delhia and Family, Fanny and Family, Dolly and Family, Karen (Moosh) Priscilla (Harry), Shirley, Helen, Doreen, Kathleen and Theresa Dumas; nephews Ken and Mike Wiehe; nieces Mandy and Eilleen Wiehe; and other family members too numerous to mention. Gone to prepare and welcome her home are: her parents, Lawrence and Theresa Colomb, daughter, Shawna Lee and son, Herbert. Maternal Grandparents Pierre and Elizabeth Colomb (Sinclair); Grandson, Brandon River Lee Castel, Michael Colomb, Sister Sarah Wiehe; father and mother-in-law Hycinth and Agnes Colomb; other relatives too numerous to mention. Mother She’ll always find the time for you Whenever you need attention, And the sacrifices that she makes Are things she’ll never mention… She knows just when to give advice On what life’s all about And when to give you freedom To work your problems out… She’s someone you look up to But have good times with, too, She’s your friend and inspiration, She’s Mother… She is you.
