Geordie George Lachose

Our dad, Geordie George Lachose, aka Jottie was born Thursday, September 14, 1939, at Cedar Lake, Manitoba. Geordie passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, October 15, 2015, at the St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba, at the age of 76 years. Geordie and his family were relocated to Easterville in 1964 as a result of Manitoba Hydro raising Cedar Lake. Geordie was united in marriage to Maria Winnie Beardy at Chemawawin, July 22, 1963 and together they were blessed with four children. Throughout his life, Geordie was a Chemawawin Band Constable, Trapper and Fisherman. He was a good loving person to all who knew him. He gained many, many friends whom he loved to spend time with. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Geordie is survived his children Edward (Shirley), Brenda (Leonard), Katy (Robert), Jackie (Pierre); children he raised as his own Steven Klyne, Bobby Lachose, Linda Lachose, Harvey McKay Jr., John James Beardy; close friends Ray Kematch, Jacob George, Donald Thomas, Arthur Umpherville, John Miles, Ovide Mercredie; sisters Josephine (Alpheus), Nancy, Annie; brother Sidney; sisters-in-law Barbara (Allan), Linda (Sonny), Juliette (Marcel), Caroline, Rita (Steve); brother-in-law Calvin Beardy; Godchildren Patrick Easter, Lorna Bjork, Dorothy Gott, Christina Queskekapow, Ardell Sinclair, Angela Lachose. Geordie was predeceased by his wife Maria Winnie Lachose, October 29, 1996; parents John and Sophie Lachose; brother Richard Lachose; sisters Rubina (Zaccheus) Umpherville, Hilda (Peter) Dorion, Adelaide (Nelson) Lavallee; grandsons Winston Klyne, Jordan George; granddaughter Gail Alisha Beardy; sisters-in-law Beatrice Beardy, Elaine Gott, Bella Lachose, Rosalie Mink; brothers-in-law Francis Beardy, William Beardy; nephews Barney Umpherville, Walter Jr. Sinclair.
