Helena was born Sunday, October 10, 1926 in Tarnawa, Poland.
Helena passed away peacefully, Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at the Snow Lake Health Centre, Snow Lake, Manitoba, at the age of 90 years.
As a young woman, Helena worked on farms in Germany. When World War II started she was put in a camp in Coburg, Germany. There she had met Stan. A wedding dress was borrowed and on February 11, 1947 they were united in marriage. After being in different camps and shuttled by trains, they arrived in Belgium where they started their life together. They headed to Canada on the Queen Mary and landed in Halifax in April of 1953, where soon after Halina and Irenca (Irene) were born.
Helena and Stan lived in Winnipeg for a short time and then they moved to Snow Lake in “Cabin Town” until they moved to 149 Willow Crescent.
Helena enjoyed her flower and vegetable garden, picking berries and mushrooms.
Helena is survived by her daughter Halina Langan of Snow Lake, Manitoba and her children Monica (Mark Robinson) their child Cody and grandchild Karson, Keith and Angie, Michael and Amanada and family; daughter Irene Campbell and her children Lonnie (Kyle) Underwood and grandchild Ryder.
Helena was predeceased by her husband Stanislaw Rodziewicz; sons-in-law Gary Langan (2002) and Robert Campbell (2000).
