Hubert Thomas

Jr., son of Hubert Thomas Sr. and the late Angela Thomas, was born at St. Anthony’s Hospital, The Pas, Manitoba, Tuesday, December 8, 1987. Jr. received his education in Cranberry Portage but came home and graduated in 2010 with his best friend Garth Patchenose. Jr. was an outgoing, fun loving person. He cared for those who were closest to him. He especially loved teasing his family and friends. He also enjoyed playing games, playing his guitar and watching Anime like Naruto and Bleach. Jr. was employed by the Chemawawin Cree Nation as a part-time night watchman. Jr. passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Easterville, Manitoba, at the age of 26 years. Jr. will be sadly missed by his parents Hubert Sr. and Darlene Thomas, also Carol Patchinose and Ethel Chartrand, whom he called both of them “mom”; special friend Sarah Daniels; sister Kerry Thomas; brother Columbus, Shane, Matthew and Nolan; niece Addy Thomas; aunties Donna (Tom), Myrtle (Warren), Rose (Gary), Amanda, Suzie, Molly Quill; uncles Harvey (Alvina), Angus (Peggy), Gregory Thomas, Noel Cook, Clayton Cook, Sonny Cook, David Mink, Hubert (Ness) George, Roy George, Nelson Captain; godparents Michael and Caroline Chartrand; grandparents Fred Thomas, Gladys Cook, Malcolm Thomas, Joe (Nancy), Charlie Thomas, Wilfred Cook, Roderick Cook, Jane Lavallee, Caroline (Michael), Carol (Simon), Bernice (Alvin); great grandparents Mabel Cooper, Hubert Buck, Louise (Harold) McKay. Jr. was predeceased by his mother Angela Thomas; grandparents Ruby Thomas, Ralph Kematch, Robert Cook, Harvey Chartrand, Emmelyne Thomas; uncles and aunties Gerald Thomas, Conrad Thomas Sr., Shebert Thomas, Wilbert Cook, Connie Captain, Noreen Mink; cousins Kelly Thomas, Harvey Thomas Jr., Peter Lewis Thomas, Bradley Cook, Baby Mary Jane Cook, Angus Stevens; great grandparents Mary Jane and Solomon Cook, Maryann and Cornelius Thomas, Matilda Starr Thomas, Charlie Starr, Albert Thomas, Hazel and Joe Stevens, Camelia and Charlie Mecredi, Baptiste and Cecilia Buck, Walter Buck, Johnny Cooper; great great grandparents Catherine Buck Martin, Alex Buck, Angus Martin; and many relatives too numerous to mention.
