It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Mr. Hugh Bunn beloved husband of Beth, in Snow Lake on Thursday April 27th, 2017, at the Snow Lake Health Center, Snow Lake, Manitoba, at the age of 91 years. Hugh was born to Lorne and Winnifred Bunn in The Pas, Manitoba on Thursday, October 8th 1925. Hugh was the second of 5 boys and 2 girls. Hugh followed his dad Lorne to Gilliam where Lorne worked for Canadian National Railway. At the age of 18 he joined the army, spending a brief time in Ottawa. At the age of 21 Hugh hired on with Hudson Bay Mining & Smelting where he remained for 38 years until retirement in 1985, splitting time between Flin Flon, and Snow Lake where he was the safety superintendent. In 1948 Hugh married his sweetheart Beth (Clarke) and raised a family of 3 boys and two girls. Hugh is survived by wife Beth; daughter Marilyn Pardoski (Vic); son Rick Bunn (Claudia); daughter Leslie Lajambe (Gary); son Tom Bunn (Sharon); ;son Douglas; sister Carole Warner; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson. In keeping with Hugh’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family interment at Lakeside Cemetery, The Pas, will be held at a later date. If friends so desire, donations in Hugh's name to the Royal Canadian Legion, or the Snow Lake Mining Museum. RIP Hugh.
