John was born Saturday, December 12, 1959 to his parents Phillip and Marguerite Francois. John was raised in a large family and lived in Pukatawagan his entire life.. He was a quiet man and loved the great outdoors. John followed his traditional culture and helped out in sweat lodge ceremonies, travelled the Churchill River with family and friends for traditional ceremonies. John’s favorite pastime was spending time with his nephews. He enjoyed their company and felt very close to them, especially Tanner Francois, Larry Francois, Tron Francois, Aquin Caribou and Xanadu. Often John would spend time with his uncle King Bighetty, reminiscing of great memories past. John passed away peacefully, Thursday, May 26, 2016, at St. Anthony’s Hospital, The Pas, Manitoba, at the age of 56 years. John leaves to mourn his passing, his children Tarra Caribou, Marsha Ducharme, Jay Lepage, Amanda Castel, Larry Francois III, Morningstar Francois; brothers Lucien (Delhia) Francois and their family, Eric Francois and his family, Cornelius Francois, Ricky Francois and his family, Thomas Francois, Lucien Sinclair and family; sisters Lorraine and son, Debbie (Peter) and their family; and many cousins, nieces and nephews too numerous to mention. John is resting in paradise with his parents Phillip and Marguerite Francois; brothers Larry, Wesley, Emile, Jonas; and many relatives too numerous to mention. If we forgot anyone, it was not intentional.
