Joseph Marin THE PAS, Manitoba Obituary

Joseph Marin

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, husband and grandfather, Henry Hank Marin on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at St. Paul’s Care Home, The Pas, Manitoba, at the age of 80 years. Hank was born on a farm in Saskatchewan and was the second youngest of five children. He moved to The Pas when he was six and attended Catholic School. From a young age he was on the trapline and out fishing with his dad to help provide for the family. He met Marlene Rivalin in 1959 and they were married in June 1960. Their son Roland was born in 1961 and daughter Bonnie in 1965. He worked for Lamb Airways in the early 1960’s and loved travelling throughout the north. He later started a job with Kelsey School Division as a Carpenter, where he worked for 28 years until his retirement. He was widowed in 2004 with the passing of Marlene. He loved his granddaughter Lia with all his heart and would do anything for his little Sweetheart. He fought a long battle with cancer but when asked, would always say he felt fine. He is survived by his son Roland (Patti); daughter Bonnie (Lisa); and granddaughter Lia (Todd). We are very grateful for the care he received from the staff at St. Paul’s Care Home. They were always so caring and kind. Rolly, Patti, Bonnie, Lisa, Lia & Todd
