Kenneth Dumas

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our brother Kenneth Frank Andrew, better known as Andrew; aka The Rock. Andrew passed away suddenly Thursday, August 14, 2014 at The Pas, Manitoba, age 50 years. Andrew was born Monday, March 16, 1964 to Maryann and Dennis Dumas. Our brother Andrew loved the outdoors and went on many camping trips. He enjoyed spending his time at High Rock and Moose Horn either picking berries or harvesting natural medicine with his sisters and “neschows” Stan and Emily. He was also employed at Homecare for a number of years working with our elders. Andrew is survived by his son Benjamin Colomb; grandchildren Terrance and Ginger; special granddaughter Salena; brothers Alfred, and Leslie and family; special brothers Pierre Colomb, Bruno Bighetty, Pat Dumas, Elton John Bighetty, and Alex Hart; sisters Myrtle and family, Verna (Dion) and family, Leona (Ernie) and family, Velma (Thomas) and family; special sisters Tanya Colomb, Marcella Colomb, Dhedra (Robin) and family, Lisa (Gerald) and family; grandma Margaret Sinclair; uncles Adelard (Marie) and family, Emile (Julianne) and family, Mathias (Rosalie) and family; aunties Evelyn Raven and family, Flora Bighetty (Eli) and family, Angie Dumas and family; special friend Ruby Castel; and friends “John Bull”, “Mojo”, and Eric Francois. Andrew was predeceased by his father Dennis Dumas; brother Roderick; sister Lillian; uncle Thomas Sinclair; grandpa John Sinclair; friend Delores Colomb; grandparents Alphonse and Lydia Dumas; uncles Norman, John, Fred, and Willie Dumas; aunties Veronique Linklater, Victoria Daniels, and Flora Caribou.
