Lawrence Francois

Lawrence was born, Thursday, April 22, 1954 in Pukatawagan, Manitoba with his twin sister, the late Myra Francois Ballantyne. Lawrence loved the outdoors. He loved fishing, trapping and especially moose hunting. Lawrence enjoyed music. He sang in the church choir and taught his nieces and nephews the love of music. He was self-taught and could play any instrument. Lawrence loved family get-togethers especially during the Christmas season. Lawrence was a humble and compassionate person, always recognizing people and would lend a helping hand to whomever needed. Lawrence’s favorite past-time visiting with his adopted sister Lena Bighetty. He was proud of his extended family and his nieces and nephews lovingly called him “Mr. Fruit” because of his music. Faith was very important to Lawrence and he portrayed this through his generosity. Lawrence passed away unexpectedly, Friday, May 2, 2014 at Pukatawagan, Manitoba, at the age of 60 years. Lawrence is survived by his common law Solange; sons Clarence Colomb, Rodney Hart-Francois; daughter Corrine Hart-Francois; brothers and sisters John (Marie) Dumas, Romuald (June) Dumas, Gary (Barbara) Dumas, Frank (Diane) Dumas, Hanson (Sara Jane) Dumas, Leola (Terry) Mitchell, Donna Dumas, William Morin, Rose Morin, Colleen Whelan, Lena Bighetty, Roy Daniels, Andrew (Barbara) Daniels, Lloyd (Sandra) Daniels and Terrance Daniels, Mary Daniels and Doreen Daniels; and numerous family members. Lawrence was predeceased by parents Leo Dumas and Lena Helen Morin-Daniels; stepmother Mary Dumas; grandparents Magloire (Henriette) Francois, Alex (Flora) Dumas; sisters Madeline Morin, Marie Morin, Lorna Morin, Myra Morin, Pauline Morin, Colleen Daniels, Betty Daniels; son Andre Hart-Francois; aunt Rosie McKay; brother Marc Dumas, Zachius Daniels, Alvin Castel, Clifford Castel, Arthur Daniels; adopted brother John McKay; step father Luke Daniels; great aunts Suzette Francois, Isabel Hart; great grandparents George (Melanie) Nicholas; great uncles Albert Francois, Solomon Nicholas, Edward Hart, Frank Nicholas and Herman Nicholas; and numerous family members.
