Lillian Ducharme THE PAS, Manitoba Obituary

Lillian Ducharme

Mom was born in The Pas to Patrice and Marie Nabess, Monday, February 20, 1939.  She spent most of her life in Cormorant where she met and married “Joe-Pete”.  They were married for 43 years until Dad passed away in 2006.  Together they raised 10 children. Our Mother’s religion was very important to her and she took great satisfaction in participating in her church; she was especially active and proud to be a member of the choir.  With the choir she traveled to many communities singing to and for many people, regardless of faith. One particular highlight of Mom’s life was traveling to Winnipeg to see the Pope. Some of Mom’s great pleasures were playing bingo, Yahtzee, Scrabble, cards and going to the casino with friends.  She also loved going to visit and have coffee with her sister-in-law Grace. But most of her time was spent being with her husband and children. Our beloved Mother passed away very peacefully in Brandon, Satruday, October 5th, 2013  with her children, sister Gladys, nephew Brian Nabess and other family members at her side. Those left to mourn and cherish her memory are: daughters Valerie (Lawrence) Genaille, Sharon (Randy) Moore, Yolanda (Wayne) Gurr, Violet Netz, Cindy (Fred) Quelle and Karri Kopischke; sons Bill (Isabel), Lance (Donna), Darren (Alvina), and Danni (Anna); grandchildren Larry (Kim) Greg (Candace), Rikki, Michael, Matthew, Jared (Ashley), Joel (Dawn), Jamie, Eli (Brittney), Broden, Cassandra,  Jurgen, Trenton, Kaitlyn, Taylor, Lance, Brittney, Chris (Nicole), Nicholas, Aiden, Naomi, Tara, Hannah,  Danni Jr., Kyler, Jillian, Jasmine, Brian, Mario, Bronsen, Dream-Lee, Darren Jr.; great grandchildren Jaiden, Jared, Nikki, Tyrone, Isaiah, Noah, Keisha, Danya, Josie, Jonathan, Jorden, Trey, Harmony; sister Gladys; brothers Fred (Elsie), Donald (Donna), Charles and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Welcoming Mom into Heaven with open arms will be our beloved Dad William “Joe-Pete”; along with  her mother Marie; father Patrice; sisters Violet and Irene; brothers Rupert, Louis and Robert; as well as her in-laws Annie and Victor, Zebras and Grace, Bill and Verna, Judge and Audrey; auntie Elizabeth; and many other family members, all of whom we miss dearly. In keeping with Lillian's wishes, cremation took place and a service of remembrance to celebrate her life was held Wednesday, October 9, 2013, 2:00 pm at the Cormorant Community Hall, Cormorant, Manitoba with James Hemauer presiding. Music was provided by the Cormorant Community Choir. Memories were shared by Randy Mercredi and scripture readings were proclaimed by Brian Nabess, Margaret MacKinnon and a tribute song was sung by Lillian's son "Addyboy".
